Biography

Founder & Creative Director

Adeyemi Iyanda, known on stage as Yemi Pelda, is a Nigerian-born musician, bandleader, entertainer and creative entrepreneur with a longstanding passion for live music, cultural expression and the art of creating memorable experiences.

His musical journey began in childhood at Holy Trinity African Church, Sango, Ibadan, where he was introduced to African percussion, church music and classical hymns. At around seven years old he began developing his skills on the drums, laying the foundation for a lifelong commitment to music and performance. He has since grown into a versatile multi-instrumentalist across drum set, talking drum, traditional African percussion and piano.

In 2009 he founded Peldamusic to provide high-quality live music for weddings and celebrations. The band's first major engagement took place on 11 September 2009, at a wedding in Nigeria. What began as a passion project has grown into a live entertainment brand spanning weddings, corporate events, concerts, festivals, thanksgiving services, naming ceremonies and private occasions — now bringing together musicians and performers across vocals, strings and percussion.
